I tried out the peppermint swirl mask filter for my MEG Diana+ lomo camera on a recent trip to Scarborough. I quite like the results...

This is the longest I have ever gone in my adult life without attending a music festival (I think). The last one was Latitude 2010 and it was one of the most magical... even the wellies that we insisted on wearing one day were needless, as it was pretty much wall to wall sunshine, glorious music, theatre, poetry, comedy, smiley people. Four days of absolute heaven. Next week I'll attend Latitude 2012 and if it's even half as good, I'll be a happy Jenny.
As ever, more on the flickr if you want them x

A few more and all my Brighton pix are on that there flickr.
P.S. Hard to believe it was less than 2 months ago that I saw The Chapman Family for the first time! Then the madness ensued...
A few night-timey/dusky shots taken between watching bands at The Great Escape Fest. Look at those skies! The parasols were on the ceiling in a cute Thai restaurant just round the corner from our apartment. Next installment - a few gratuitous band shots.
Last month I finally, finally visited Brighton for the first time. I love a good traditional seaside resort, so to discover a new one is always a treat.
I've been neglecting my little blog of late, so this is the first of a mini series to make up for it. More Brighton highlights soon!
Walking to work the other day I noticed how many different signs of spring there were, even in this relatively built-up area... probably a lot of them only seen by those of us moving at a slower pace along the footpaths, peering through fences... So was inspired to take the camera out today too and capture the remnants of the blossom in between the April showers. Taken lazily with the 'flower' setting on my Fujifilm FinePix F100fd. A few more on flickr x
So last month I posted my first, admittedly quite disastrous, attempts at taking 'polaroid' pictures with my Impossible Project film. But my later pictures were mostly half-decent - hurrah! It was a lot of fun trying out the film... a bit demoralising when the chemicals didn't spread properly, but brilliant when they worked. I think my favourite is the sunny heather one - I can almost feel the warmth emanating from the picture!
